Effortless
style is in the jeans -literally. An absolute must for any woman's wardrobe,
denim is the one-stop style solution that's always trending, whether its
something to throw on in a rush trying to get the kids to school in
Banburyshire or jazzed up denim with a stylish top and funky jacket/blazer.
For autumn,
the experts tell me it's all about retro glamour, with designers looking to the
70s for inspiration. And I must add, I got a little scared when I read this as
I went through a 70's look whilst at college!
I have seen plush cord flares and precious jewel
colours high on the agenda, mmm, (think of the shade, not vino) merlot, slick skinnies. If you want your
jeans to pack extra punch, whimsical
floral prints and snakeskin patterns are big news too and look especially
striking when paired with wedges and high-shine accessories come cocktail hour
at Wonderlounge with your favourite girlie friends.
Every woman needs a pair
of perfectly fitting indigo flares in her wardrobe. Whether you embrace preppy
70s style with mid-risers or retro rockstar cool in low-slung fit-and-flares,
this iconic jean is now as much of an essential as its skinny equivalent,
flares look fab with shirts and platform heels. Honestly, you will love me once
you've been shopping and you're looking fab in front of the mirror at home.
Coloured denim is still hot for autumn, but this
season, designers have swapped pop brights for deep red wine hues. Opt for
spray-on skinnies in maroon, burgundy or plum. Compliment with a crisp white
shirt and leopard print clutch for the ultimate in easy chic. You'll be sure to
turn heads along Parsons Street.
Skinny Jean loyalists
will love autumn's bold prints. Mix patterns for the strongest statement - try
denim floral trousers (go on, you can do it) with a polka dot blouse. Or, why not go tonal with a neutral blouse and
jeans in the print of the season, ssssssssssnake!
Make
your new season style a hit with flares cut in velvet and corduroy. A 70s
palette is key this season, so in the flavour of Halloween, pumpkin cords with
a fine mustard sweater.
If you want to go back in time and bring your
stonewashed jeans back then making this statement will surely peel back the
years. Stonewashed jeans were all the rage in the 60's and 80's, remember when
we used to take perfectly good jeans and sneak upstairs with mothers bleach and
deface the jeans to give a bleached mottled effect ?(obviously this is not
recommended!) You can now get this latest fashion fix from the high street.
