Thieves have tried to steal a cash machine after forcing their way into an Oxfordshire shop.
The incident took place on Tuesday 2nd January at about 3.35am at the Co-Op in Enstone Road.
Staff were called to the store after an alarm was activated, and upon arrival they found that the front doors had been forced open and attempts made to remove an ATM machine.
It is not believed that any cash was stolen during the incident.
A white Renault van and a silver Land Rover were recovered nearby. Both vehicles had previously been reported as stolen and are believed to have been used in the incident.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Adrian Brooksbank, based at Witney police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information relating to it.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who saw these two vehicles travelling or parked together before this incident took place.
