Appeal after attack on teen in Banbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was attacked in Banbury.

The 19 year old was grabbed by the arms as she walked along Oxford Road, and had to user her handbag to gend off her attacker.

It happened just after 2am on July the 22nd.

The suspect is white, about 5ft 10ins tall and has light coloured, scruffy, mid-length hair.

Investigating officer, PC Sam Buzzard based at Banbury police station said, “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or noticed anything unusual in the area at the time this incident happened.

“If you have any information around this incident please call 101 quoting reference number 43180223447.”
