Mid Mornings with Kirsty Leahy
Kirsty brightens her listeners’ mornings on Banbury Sound on the new show time of 10am-12pm (she's finally getting a slight lie in!) with tales of her many adventures including a visit to the BRIT awards after-show party and hosting the Katharine House Hospice Charity Gala Dinner at Blenheim Palace with special guest; former Rugby World Cup winner 2003 Mike Tindell MBE, who Kirsty sat with at dinner and revealed some rather risqué stories about previous rugby tours and filled her in on what it is like going round to the Queen's for a Sunday roast.!
Not only is Kirsty busy on air, but she also likes to put the fun into fund-raising and regularly takes on challenges for good causes such as creating a special beer with Hook Norton brewery for Dogs for Good (And went on to win a National Radio Award (the commercial radio equivalent to the Oscars!) for her “Thirsty Kirsty” charity beer campaign) as well as 110ft abseil for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Silverstone half marathon and recently learnt how to DJ 'mix' for Breast Cancer Care which raised over £5k!
Kirsty likes to think she can sing a bit so auditioned to be in the wedding choir for the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, unfortunately she didn't get the call!
Kirsty loves hosting events too, so if you need her to host your event, get in touch on Twitter @kirstyleahy or Instagram @kirstyontheradio.
