Government reacts to HS2 judicial review

Wednesday, August 1st 2012 10:41

The Department of Transport say they will vigorously defend themselves at a High Court judicial review into a high speed railway planned through Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Several groups, including Cherwell District and South Northamptonshire Councils, have legally challenged the Government decision to approve the 33 billion pound plans.

The DFT say they're confident everything they've done has been lawful, appropriate and fair.

The judicial reviews will be held at the High Court in December.
